Wrinkles > chemical burn
I bought a few different skincare products to try out, one being this eye cream. When I put it on under my eyes, my skin started to burn. I noticed a few days later, the skin under my eye was red, swollen and then it became dry and scaly, eventually peeling off. I wasn't sure if it was eczema or the new skincare products, so after it healed, I waited a month and tried it again. Sadly, the exact same thing happened. I hate paying so much money for a product that doesn't work.

burned skin my under eyes
I purchased a pretty expensive Advanced Night Repair Eye Cream Skincare Set. I used this Eye Cream from EsteeLauder with high hopes, only to be sorely disappointed. Despite not having sensitive skin, this eye cream turned out to be the worst product I've ever used. Initially drawn to its promises of wonders, I found it to be overpriced and underwhelming. Within just two weeks of use, it began to burn my under eyes, leaving them rough and irritated. I developed what felt like a paper cut on the skin below my eye and it can't be covered even with make-up. My disappointment only grew when I learned that my experience wasn't unique.

Stay away from this - Allergic Reaction
I recently purchased the Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Supercharged Gel-Creme as a 'treat'. I used it as per the instructions given and the next morning, my face was all swollen, eyes burning and stinging and had to head to the doctors! I was told to take anti histamine for a few days and although the swelling went down a few days later, my lips started burning, cracking, and scaling a few days after that. I headed back to the chemist and then another trip to the doctors as the reaction has not cleared after a month!! I was put on steroids and another course of anti histamine. This has helped but not completely cleared yet. I contacted Estee Lauder and was told i need to dispose of the product and a refund was issued. however, although i was told they had a duty of care towards me, i was told that the product was safe to use (it clearly isn't and i'm obviously not the only one saying so) and that my medical visits, expenses or anything else would not be covered as a result. I did something reseach in the ingredients afterwards (hindsight is great) and found some nasty chemicals in there, namely BHT, petrolatum and phenoxyethenol. Overall, i would stay away from using this product as it is NOT safe and the company clearly does NOT care!

I would not recommend this product! Within a couple times of using this product, the skin around my eyes turned red, became puffy, dried right out and the skin began to scale. The skin around the eyes was sensitive to touch and burned if you applied anything to it. The skin was tight around the eye and I was looking for a reprieve but nothing helped. It almost appeared as if I had a chemical burn. I discontinued use obviously for a few weeks. To ensure it was the product and not just a coincidence, I tried again weeks later. Unfortunately, the same thing happened If you are considering buying this cream, because of the high price tag attached to it, I would strongly recommend getting your hands on a sample first to ensure you don't spend $100 on a cream that aren't able to use because of irritation to the skin. This is the second time I have had this happen with Estee Lauder eye cream. The first time was when they used to have the Pomegranate eye jelly. I had the same reaction. The worst part is that it takes over 1 week to clear up! Do your research first!

Chemical burn
Ido not recommend this product, I wasn't sure if this product caused my under eye skin irritation so I tried one more time and sure enough this product burn my skin. After reading the reviews I noticed I am not alone. Please revise this product and ingredients, better yet remove it from all stores, reimburse me for my dermatology bills.

i want to love this so bad
this does a great job of making your skin lighter under your eyes, but it also has the tendency to dry out your skin. because of this, i started using it once or twice a week instead of daily, which seemed to help! only now, anytime i use it my skin around my eyes actually burn. i found myself holding ice to my eyes one at a time to try to get some relief. i want recommend that people at least try it, but i have reservations due to my reaction to it.

Redness, Scaling, Itching
I struggled for weeks trying to figure out the culprit to my new found issues with my under eyes. Very similar to eczema: itching; redness, scaling, swelling. It seemed as though I was developing an allergy to something. After deduction of products and changing my regimen, I realize it's the under eye cream. It's actually burning my skin. It's absolutely awful. I do not recommend this product to anyone and wish I had read these reviews sooner.

Looked like chemical burn
I'm a decades long EL customer and fan. I do not have sensitive skin and have loved all other products from EL I've used and will continue to use all others. However, this eye cream left what looked like chemical burns on my skin. I didn't realize at first what had done it and once cleared up tried it again, but it was definitely this. And now reading other reviews there are many others that have experienced similarly. I now have two full size jars of this that will be thrown out. The healing process took over a week each time. Be aware if you try this one.
